Rapper 50 cent aka Curtis Jackson and pro boxer Floyd Mayweather have both been down on their luck with the music business. 50 Cent's G-Unit crew has completely departed with the exception of Tony Yayo. The latest person to leave G-Unit was Lloyd Banks, who is still good friends with 50.
50 Cent sales from his last album were the worse ever and now he's about to work with Floyd Mayweather on a new album. Mayweather and 50 did an interview with MTV's Mixtape daily to discuss their upcoming project. During the interview they took a few shots at non specific rappers while explaining what their album is about.
Both 50 and Mayweather shared their views on today's rap game, saying the artists get petty advances just to get tons of tattoos and piercings. They went on to say if they get locked up for minimum days they call themselves killers. "Next time out, they rock stars. I think rap is crazy, but it's still creative."
I can't wait to hear this collaboration! 50 cent and Mayweather are both arrogant and egotistical men who are very competitive. 50 cent doesn't have to prove much in the rap game but Mayweather may have to prove he can be as good in rapping as he is in boxing!
