In addition to peddling Vitamin Water, music, apparel, video games, and whatever else can be marketed, sometime rapper 50 Cent is now adding author to his growing list of job titles. According to Billboard, the Queens-bred emcee is teaming up with 48 Laws of Power writer Robert Greene to release — you guessed it — The 50th Law. The book, scheduled to be released this upcoming fall, is a business guide that gives readers a little insight on how to keep their pockets from being shallow and either get rich or die trying. “The essential tenet of the book, inspired by 50’s experiences, is that your fears are a prison which hold you back — you should be yourself, fear nothing, focus on what you want, and have no ‘Plan B’,” said Andrew Franklin, publisher of Profile Books, who will release the book.

Curtis is definitely good at making a dollar out of fifteen cents, so there is actually good reason for heads to get their browse on through this book. Though some of the names of the book’s chapters, like “Turn Shit into Sugar-Opportunism” and “Hood Economics” seem a little on the cliché side, I can bet that Fiddy will have some jewels in there to have you recession-proof in no time.

“Those who dismiss 50 Cent as a gangster should rethink: his continued presence in the Forbes Rich List and entrepreneurial nous show there is a lot more to the man than his music,” said Franklin. He also said that it was “not just an informed strategy” but also “an incredible story of survival, rehabilitation and upward mobility” that drew him to the project.

The book will be released in both the US and the UK the week of September 10, and will also be available in an audio version. The G-Unit boss is also said to be traveling to England to promote the book this fall and planning to speak at the Oxford Union this October.
