Nicole Scherzinger and 50 Cent make quite a rhythmic pair and they steamed up the stage on tonight’s episode of ‘American Idol’ by performing their single ‘Right There,’ which will appear on her forthcoming album, due out in August. Scherzinger’s tantalizing song was a stark contrast to Il Volo’s ageless standards!

Scherzinger, a former Pussycat Doll and ‘Dancing With the Stars’ winner, wore a skimpy white outfit that covered her in just the right places and fingerless gloves, and performed her sexy and suggestive new single with the help of a crew of dancers and of course 50 Cent, who rocked a backwards baseball cap and a big necklace. The rapper got all up in Scherzinger’s grill on the stage for a second before disappearing altogether. While 50 Cent was on screen for all of a minute, he still generated enough heat with Scherzinger to make a steamy point.
Scherzinger’s performance was easily the most choreographed of the season and hey, what would you expect? We are talking about an entertainer whose career has been defined as much by her dance moves as her vocal parts. Even if you’ve never watched an episode of ‘DWTS,’ it’s not surprising that her head is the one that wore the Season 10 crown for that show, because she dances so effortlessly and fluidly.
However, Scherzinger never sacrificed a melody, a vocal line or a beat in favor of keeping her body moving. That’s a skill and a talent that takes lots of practice, and one that this crop of contestants is quickly learning. Catch Scherzinger on ‘The X Factor’ this Fall, where she will serve as the host and work for what is expected to be the main competitor of the show on which she just performed.
