50 Cent is the Street King of announcements this week. On Thursday the G-Unit CEO took to twitter to reveal that Jersey Shore star, DJ Pauly D, is now officially signed to his G-Note imprint, and he followed that up with a release date for his new Big 10 mixtape. Rumors about Pauly D being signed to G-Unit Records circulated back in April but neither party confirmed. Yesterday, both Fif and Pauly tweeted about the new partnership.

They both twitpic’d a photo of them throwing the deuces up. “This me and my boy @djpaulyd G NOTES newest addition good times,” Fifty wrote. The Jersey Shore star added that “big big things are in the works” obviously in regards to his new deal with G-Note. Pauly D’s publicist also tweeted the official announcement of the deal to the public. While no details have surfaced on what exactly is in the works, it seems as if 50 cent is trying to change up his sound by adding Pauly D’s “club” music sound to the roster.

While Fif is adding new music to his label, he’s also planning to release his newest project, Big 10, a mixtape commemorating the 10-year anniversary of his 2002 release 50 Cent Is The Future. The tape features 10 new songs, with a lead track title “Stop Crying.” This week he introduced the song via Twitter with a few choice quotes.

“Stop crying pay attention to details in art,” he wrote. “Why this song first cause this is the BIG 10. If U look close U will find the names of several great generals in my face. I have no eyes, no windows 2 my soul. This Is coldest sh-t.”

50 seems pretty confident in his new mixtape, already setting it up to be one of the best projects release this year. “The BIG 10 mix tape is gonna be crazy better then most albums this year. Trust me lol streetking support the movement,” he added on Twitter.

50 Cent Set To Release ‘BIG 10' Mixtape Next Week

Posted in : News

(added few months ago!)

50 Cent Set To Release ‘BIG 10' Mixtape Next Week50 Cent announced that he will be releasing a ten track project next week which will be called ‘The Big 10.’ The mixtape celebrates the ten year anniversary of the release of his first mixtape ’50 Cent is the Future.’
Fif added that each of the ten songs on the mixtape would be accompanied by a video. “The BIG 10 mix tape is gonna be crazy better then most albums this year. Trust me lol streetking support the movement,” the rapper tweeted.

Fans have been waiting for 50 Cent’s fifth studio album which he said was 80 percent complete in January. The album, which was originally titled ‘Black Magic,’ was pushed back during the summer after the rapper took issue with Interscope’s handling of the project which now has a tentative release date in December.
Details about the album are vague as 50 Cent has abandoned the concept for ‘Black Magic’ and began working on material that took the project in a different direction. Originally the album was set to include vocal contributions from Eminem, Lloyd Banks, Kid Kidd, and Busta Rhymes.

50 Cent has yet to release an official track list for the album which has led to further confusion about what the album will sound like. In June, ‘Outlaw’ was leaked and initially appeared to be the album’s first single, but 50 Cent promptly clarified on twitter that the track was not associated with the record. The rapper recently put out a video for ‘Girls Go Wild,’ which features Jeremih and Lk, which has been confirmed as the album’s first single.

It was reported yesterday that Tip had responded to Fiddy's comments that his wife Tiny should have also served jail time when they were arrested in 2009. While Tip said it would be cowardly to let his wife take the rap, Fiddy has now told the 'King of the South' to stop being so emotional. "Man I just saw something T.I said in VIBE about a tweet I wrote when he caught his drug case. He just got out a jam and caught a new one," Fiddy wrote on Twitter.

50 Cent Reacts to T.I. Drug Bust Comments

Posted in : News

(added few months ago!)

Some say stand by your man, others say throw yourself in front of him...especially if he's being raided for drug possession. That's the advice 50 Cent would have given Tameka "Tiny" Cottle when her husband T.I. was arrested for possession last year. Tip commented on Fif's advice in an interview with Vibe, saying unequivocably that "I’m the only one in my family that’s gonna take a lick when it pertains to the legal system."

Today, 50 tweeted his response to T.I.'s comments, making it clear he holds his ground that Tiny would have taken a far less severe charge had she stepped out in front of her man:

"Man I just saw something T.I said in VIBE about a tweet I wrote when he caught his drug case. He just got out a jam and caught a new one. Any other time a nigga done. Get caught with 10 machine gun an silencer then catch a drug charge. You will f**k around and get natural life. This boy got a get outta jail FREE card. Don’t get emotional over your lady. It a get you in some sh*t you don’t want to be in," he wrote. "If U can get 5 years easy 4 some sh*t and I’m the support of my family. Why would it be wrong if ya lady had to take probation? Shit she ballin to lol."

T.I. was released from custody on September 29 after serving an 11 month sentence, the last two months of which were in an Arkansas halfway house.

50 Cent Says There’s No Beef Between Him And Rick Ross

Posted in : News

(added few months ago!)

You may love them or hate them but hip-hop feuding doesn’t seem to be going away any time soon. However 50 Cent says that him and Rick Ross’ relationship is “battle” not “beef” and claims that Ross only starting attacking 50 in order to get some attention for himself.

50 Cent Says There’s No Beef Between Him And Rick Ross

After Ross had two seizures last month a fan asked 50 Cent if he had “any words for Ross” via twitter and the rapper responded, “Yeah he gotta take care of his self,” following that statement up with, “I don’t wish DEATH on him my grand father had a seizure.”
.
Despite the fact that both rappers have made digs at each other in their music, 50 Cent believes the true nature of their relationship lies in semantics. “This is why they changed the terminology from ‘battling’ to ‘beefing,” he told MTV News last month. “It was always that battling was a part of the culture; they didn’t do that until Tupac and Biggie Smalls’ situation. That’s when it became taboo to actually mention an artist’s name.”
.
Finally last week Ross was on BET’s 106 & Park and when he was asked about 50’s tweeting he responded, “If it was genuine, I appreciate it, and if that’s the case, I thank you homey.” Do you think there will be a reconciliation in the future or will this battle develop into a beef? Let us know who you think the star is below!

50 Cent Says Rick Ross Rivalry Is Battle, Not Beef

Posted in : News

(added few months ago!)

50 Cent Says Rick Ross Rivalry Is Battle, Not BeefFor 50 Cent, battling and beefing in hip-hop are two distinctly different things. Despite his 2009 rivalry with Rick Ross, 50 said he doesn't feel the two have a beef. After Rozay suffered two separate seizures in October, Fif responded via Twitter when a fan asked him, "Any words for Rick Ross?" "Yeah he gotta take care of his self," the G-Unit rapper commented, later writing, "I don't wish DEATH on him my grand father had a seizure."

At an October book signing for his new anti-bullying book, "Playground," in New York, 50 told MTV News, "You shouldn't wish that on anyone."50 said he believes Ross started the feud to raise his own rap profile: "He says it started because I looked at him the wrong way," Fif recalled of an incident on the red carpet for the 2009 BET Awards. "That just means he wanted to compete, he wanted to move up, he wanted to create an awareness for himself, and he did it."

While the two did trade insults, specifically on Rozay's "Mafia Music" and Fif's "Officer Ricky," the G-Unit general said he didn't take the barbs personally, and in his mind, the two had a battle — not a beef. "This is why they changed the terminology from 'battling' to 'beefing.' It was always that battling was a part of the culture; they didn't do that until Tupac and Biggie Smalls' situation," he said. "That's when it became taboo to actually mention an artist's name."On November 1, Ross appeared on BET's "106 & Park" and addressed 50's tweets: "If it was genuine, I appreciate it, and if that's the case, I thank you homey."

50 Cent: How my son inspired me to write 'Playground'

Posted in : Interviews, Videos

(added few months ago!)

There's always two sides to every story, and the problem with bullying is no exception. A topic often discussed from the victim's perspective, rapper/author/actor 50 Cent is trying to provide insight into the mind of the aggressor with his young adult novel, "Playground," published earlier this month.

The protagonist is 13-year-old Butterball, a teen who has separated parents, a love of filmmaking and a lot of trouble on his hands after he lashes out violently at a classmate at school. 50 Cent, also known as Curtis Jackson, has written before, but says he became inspired to tell this particular story while talking to his 15-year-old son.

"Bullying is a major issue right now, not for him personally, but he’s told me of things that he’s seen with other kids. I found myself explaining it to him from this perspective because I was previously the aggressor, and I went through a time period when I was dealing with my feelings in the wrong way," the 36-year-old says. "I had to talk to him...and explain the mistakes that I made."

He continues, "I pointed it out to him when I was a teen that I got into a physical altercation with someone who was my best friend...At that point, I was conditioned to go as hard as possible when those types of situations came up."

50 Cent started working on the book last year, after coming across the popular "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" novel and says in the introduction to "Playground" that there's "a lot of me" in the book's protagonist, who's actually subjected to taunting himself at various points because of his size.

"I had a weight issue when I was younger, and I had feelings towards that that I wasn’t actually expressing or dealing with," 50 Cent says. "You don’t wake up and say, 'I’m going to be a bully.' But in my environment, people who were aggressive didn’t have to worry."

"So when you’ve offered examples of you not having a problem [with being an aggressor], people don’t come to you with it. Where I’m from, the kid in the schoolyard that doesn’t want to fight always leaves with a black eye, because no one throws a punch unless they see that you’re not going to stand up for yourself."

50 Cent also admits in the book's introduction that some of his actions haven't been "role model material," and he tells CNN that he does understand where his critics are coming from. But he's also hoping that using his experiences to develop "Playground" will draw in kids who relate to Butterball's perspective.

"The kid who is actually involved in those activities may be attracted to it for the wrong reasons, and it may open his eyes to [what he’s doing]," he says. "I’m offering a solution through sucking the kids into the character, allowing them to enjoy Butterball’s [story] and then define where those mistakes were made as we gradually go through the process, and to enlighten them in areas where they can not make those mistakes."
