50 Cent Talk About Twitter: Unless 50 Cent changes his mind, we're all safe until about ... the day after the 2010 VMAs. 50 — who has made quite an impact on Twitter in recent weeks with his outlandish posts — says he's taking a break from social networking until Monday, the day after the big show.

When we spoke to him in Detroit last week as he, along with his G-Unit soldiers Tony Yayo and Lloyd Banks, joined Eminem and Jay-Z's Home and Home concerts at Comerica Park, Fif explained to MTV News the reason for his tweeting hiatus.

"I just had to give it a break because I had to go back to writing. Writing my record," he said. "Concentrate on the music, picking the right things.

50 Cent Talk About His Wedding: Rapper slash actor 50 Cent has announced he is getting married. Real name Curtis Jackson, the 35-year-old revealed on Twitter that he had proposed to his girlfriend. The rapper was last known to be dating 23-year-old R’n’B singer Ciara. “Good morning. I was so high after the show last night I got engaged,” he posted. “I love me so, Sept 6 I’m getting married.”

It is unknown whether the post was intended to be a joke. The rapper has a son from a previous relationship and met Ciara when he worked with her on Can’t Leave Them Alone three years ago. The Candy Shop hit-maker recently took control of his Twitter account from his record label and has since used it to post raunchy pictures and start wars with the likes of Paris Hilton and Kanye West.

Hot News: 50 Cent Get Married: RAPPER turned rap mogul and actor 50 Cent has announced that he is getting married. The 35-year-old 50 Cent, real name Curtis James Jackson III, revealed on Twitter that he proposed to his girlfriend, who was last known to be R'n'B singer Ciara, 23. “Good morning I was so high after the show last night. I got engaged. I love me so, sept 6 I’m getting married,” reported Digital Spy.

50 Cent, who had a son Marquise with then girlfriend Shaniqua Tompkins in 1997 which is still before the courts, met Ciara when he worked on her single Can't Leave Them Alone, in 2007. Last week, 50 Cent insisted that he was giving up Twitter to concentrate on completing his new album.

However, Fiddy, 35, insists it is only for a few days. “I’m writing my album. I will not be on Twitter again till Sept 6,” the Daily Star quoted him as tweeting. The controversial star recently had his Twitpic account blocked after uploading raunchy photos.

50 Cent Present Work On Album: 50 Cent's Twitter followers are going to have to find other ways to amuse themselves this weekend. The MC says he's giving up tweeting to pen his next effort, The Return of the Heartless Monster.

"Ok ladies and [gentlemen] I'm writing my new album. I will not be on twitter again till Sept 6," Fif wrote Wednesday (September 1). "This album will be a classic," added the MC, who announced the album title on Twitter.

50 has been putting in work on his new material. Swizz Beatz recently told MTV News that he has been in the studio with the G-Unit boss, after 50 reportedly shelved much of the dance-music-friendly sound he originally envisioned for his upcoming music.

50 Cent: Twitter Comments: It is the latest in a string of offensive Tweets from the rapper — real name Curtis Jackson — who has proved a keen social media user since opening his account last week.

"I'm on a plane [with] this ugly ass stewardess in my face. She keep [sic] asking me if I want shit. I keep telling her no," 50 Cent wrote earlier today onboard a passenger plane.

Roughly three hours later, he uploaded a photo purporting to show the flight attendant.

"This is the crazy looking b---- I was talking about," he wrote.
