50 Cent Bet on NFL Football Game, Pays Big Based on Twitter Rants

50 Cent Bet on NFL Football Game, Pays Big Based on Twitter RantsA recent 50 Cent bet on an NFL football game seems to have paid handsomely for the rap star. 50, real name Curtis Jackson, claims to have won $500,000 on the recently NFL playoffs game involving the New York Giants.

With Baby's Super Bowl bet the talk of Twitter and the rap world, don't let it overshadow 50 Cent's claims of actually winning his wager. Apparently, the rapper won a half a million by betting on the Giants against the San Francisco 49ers. The game saw New York as underdogs in Sunday's NFC Championship game, but they emerged victorious in overtime with a field goal.

According to his Twitter and other reports, 50 Cent put out several tweets on Twitter about the big win, saying: "Just watched a 500,000 dollar foot ball game get on my level."Besides claiming "voices" sometimes tell him what to do for betting, 50 showed his generous side too. The multimillion dollar rapper, actor, and entrepreneur said he's going to give his winnings away to his nana. 50 tweeted:

"I'm giving this money to my nana she gonna faint LMAO all she do is go to the church."Definitely noble of the rap star to give away his winnings. Meanwhile, there's no reports on whether or not 50 Cent will look to make another big bet, on the Super Bowl game. He does have an offer on the table should he decide to accept, with the recent tweet by rap star Birdman, claiming he'll put $5 million on the Patriots. Does 50 like the Giants enough to take him up on it?

50 Cent to Drop 2 Albums in Quick Succession

Posted in : Albums, News

(added 4 days ago)

With the 50 Cent media machine in full force recently, you would be forgiven for overlooking the fact that the G-Unit honcho has not released an album since 2009, keeping him out of the limelight in a musical sense for quite a deal longer than his spotlight craving persona would like. However, true to form, 50 has spoken to Forbes magazine in recent days, stating he would like to release his next two albums in quick succession this year.

50 Cent to Drop 2 Albums in Quick Succession

“This time I’m not sure I’ll tour the world like I did on my last project because it makes my album cycles two years long,” he said. “I think I’d like to launch this record and come back and launch another record following it because it’s been three years since my last album, so I’ve recorded so much material that I’m really excited about trying to get those ideas to the public so they get a chance to hear it and appreciate it.”

With the likes of Rihanna dropping an album a year for the last 6 years, 50 has admitted that he may be moving a little slow for today’s fans, who are used to instantaneous music and not partial to a wait of any sort.

“I kinda think you have to keep the audience engaged a little more [these days],” he said. “There’s a lot of new material that comes out. But it’s not from established artists.”Until the release of these albums, fans have got to make do with “The Big Ten” which 50 dropped last month.

50 Cent Wants To Release Back-To-Back Albums

Posted in : Albums

(added 6 days ago)

50 Cent Wants To Release Back-To-Back Albums50 Cent may be fighting with his record label to release his oft-delayed fifth studio album, but that hasn't stopped the G-Unit general from planning for his sixth LP. Still no word when G-Unit and Interscope will release Fif's next album, but when they do, the get Rich or Die Tryin' MC wants to hit the shelves again instead of hitting the road.

"This time I'm not sure if I'll tour the world like I did on my last project, 'cause it makes my album cycle two years long," 50 told Forbes in a video interview. "So I think I'd like to launch this record and come right back and launch another record following it."

Releasing this fifth album has been a constant battle for 50. The rapper blasted Interscope chairman Jimmy Iovine and Dr. Dre last summer, but later calmed his angst and made peace. Earlier this month, 50 took to Twitter and once gain blasted Interscope after a song slated for his album leaked onto the Internet. "I have lost all faith in the team I'm on," he wrote. A few days later he backed down. "Discovered a computer glitch leaked my song," 50 tweeted on January 8. "Sorry to team at Interscope for over reacting!"

Whatever the holdup, there has been a noticeable gap between Fif's retail releases. His last album, Before I Self Destruct, hit shelves in November 2009 and the Queens MC has amassed so many songs since then that he has enough for two projects. "It's been three years since my last album, so I've recorded so much material that I'm really excited about trying to get those ideas to the general public so they get a chance to hear it and appreciate it," he said.

50 Cent Reveals He Wants To Release Two Albums

Posted in : Albums, Videos

(added 7 days ago)

Even though he's had trouble dropping even one album as of late, it appears 50 Cent has plans to drop two. In an interview with Forbes, Fif explained that he's recorded a significant amount of material in recent time. "This time I'm not sure I'll tour the world like I did on my last project because it makes my album cycles two years long. I think I'd like to launch this record and come back and launch another record following it because it's been three years since my last album, so I've recorded so much material that I'm really excited about trying to get those ideas to the...public so they get a chance to hear it and appreciate it."

"I kinda think you have to keep the audience engaged a little more [these days]," added 50. "There's a lot of new material that comes out. But it's not from established artists.""I just felt like because I created so much, I wanted to get it out to them. I'm always excited about the newest idea for myself."

50 Cent’s Treadmill Weight Loss

Posted in : News

(added 10 days ago)

Skeptical that it’s possible to lose a lot of weight in a short time by using a treadmill and eating less?

Grammy award-winning rapper 50 Cent recently lost fifty-four lbs. in nine weeks by dieting and using a treadmill! Apparently, 50 Cent (real name: Curtis James Jackson III) takes his “method acting” seriously In preparation for an upcoming role as a football player with cancer in the upcoming move, Things Fall Apart, 50 Cent dropped from 214 to 160 lbs. The 33-year-old accomplished this with a liquid-only diet and by walking on treadmill for three hours per day.

50 Cent’s Treadmill Weight Loss

50 Cent Loses 44 lbs
Never heard of 50 Cent? Known as “Fiddy” to his friends, 50 Cent has amassed an estimated fortune of more than $440 million from his music sales and acting. He made his film debut in 1995 in the semi-autobiographical Get Rich or Die Tryin. His recent films include The Ski Mask Way (2010), Twelve (2010), Jekyll and Hyde (2010), Morning Glory (2010), and Gun (2011). But that was only after his phenomenal music success. He was named the sixth best artist of the decade by Billboard Magazine. Some call his music hip hop and others call it rap. Whatever, it is, it has an awful lot of energy.

Fiddy will need to continue the kind of treadmill energy he displayed in order to keep up that kind of schedule. Another movie on the way is Microwave Park, in which Fiddy plays a New Orleans Police officer after Hurricane Katrina. The film also stars Val Kilmer and Sharon Stone.

Fiddy has shown off his muscular physique in music videos and on stage. Apparently, is used to gaining and losing weight at will, but he says that “This time, it was a lot tougher for me.” He got stuck at about 198 lbs. and has been quoted as saying “Towards the end it was really difficult.” “I was starving,’ he said, adding that now he is back on tour and that ‘I’ve been eating. I’ll be back in shape in no time!’

50 Cent is an extreme example of weight loss, but it shows what can be accomplished with motivation and hard work. Don’t want to work that hard? Notice that Fiddy is gaining the weight back! Wouldn’t it be better to keep the weight off?

Slow and steady does it. You don’t need to go on an all-liquid diet. You don’t need to be an actor, a rapper, or any kind of star. You just need to use the treadmill for half an hour per day, but do it every day! Set aside a time for your star time. You can be a star to yourself and those around you by getting in shape and being the best you can be.

If you need more motivation, turn up the music, get on the treadmill, sing along, and sing loud. Get involved with the music. Not because you want to be a celebrity like someone else, but because you are you, and you are getting better all the time.

50 Cent Joined by Floyd Mayweather as He Shows Off Wads of Cash in Vegas

Posted in : News

(added 13 days ago)

Just in case you didn’t already know….50 Cent is rich. Mega rich. So rich, in fact, that he likes to show it off from time to time. While in Las Vegas for the Consumer Electronics Show to promote his new headphones, 50 Cent also posted a series of pictures of himself with his good friend, boxer Floyd Mayweather, posing with wads and wads (and more wads) of cash in his hotel room.

“I was thinking I could make a lot of money one day. Then I got mad cause some chumps was hatin on me,” 50 tweeted. “So I joined a gang lol THE MONEY TEAM my home boy got some hands and I got da heat. Lol,” 50 said, in reference to his pal ‘Money Mayweather.’

“We made it mom top of the world!!!!.( James cagney voice) lol,” read another tweet from the rapper, who is worth a reported $250 million. Believe it or not, this isn’t the first time 50 Cent has tastelessly flaunted his wealth on Twitter. Back in November 2010, the rapper posted pictures of himself playing around with $500,000 worth of cash money. We get it 50, you’re rich! No need to show it off.

50 Cent sounds off at CES on new headphone line

Posted in : News

(added 14 days ago)

50 Cent sounds off at CES on new headphone line50 Cent's branding empire already includes energy shots, cologne and books, but his latest products are all about the music. The rapper was at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas this week to promote his new line of headphones: the wireless Sync by 50, the wired Street by 50 and the soon-to-be-released Street by 50 wired ear buds. The audio products, he told The Times during an interview at the Las Vegas Convention Center, are "an extension of my passion for music."

"I'll spend 30 or 40 minutes when I'm really inspired and have an idea, and the song will be done. And then we'll spend a week making sure it sounds right afterwards," he said. "Then to have it go out to the general public and them listen to it on things that don't actually allow them to hear it with the same qualities –- not so cool. So I want to try to be a part of [how] they consume it the right way. And maybe they'll feel like I'm as good as I think I am, when they hear it that way." Both headphones are already available in stores and online after a soft launch during the holiday season.

The $400 Sync by 50, which 50 Cent was wearing around his neck during our interview as "a fashion statement," promises to give users "crystal-clear wireless sound" up to 50 feet away and the ability to sync as many as four pairs of headphones to a single audio source. The headphones are professionally tuned and feature 40-mm drivers, 16-bit lossless digital sound and on-board controls with bass boost, volume control and mute.

The Street by 50 headphones are priced at $300 and feature professional studio sound, enhanced bass, soft memory foam cushions, passive noise cancellation and a detachable cord. The ear buds, expected to be launched later this year, have a professionally tuned 11-mm driver and an ergonomically designed Apple control mic with volume control and reinforced cables. The wires on the ear buds are flat, which 50 Cent said prevented tangling. They are expected to cost $130.

The products are made by 50 Cent's SMS Audio; he created the company and is its chief executive. Down the line, he said, SMS Audio will expand its offerings to include home audio systems, professional audio equipment, speakers, iPod docks and DJ headsets.

"I love music," he said. "Why would I not want to make the best possible way to hear it?"

The celebrity headphone market has taken off in recent years, led by the Beats by Dr. Dre line. Dr. Dre was in Las Vegas for CES, as were Ludacris and "Jersey Shore" star Snooki -- both of them hyping headphones. 50 Cent signed autographs for fans Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at CES and said he was excited to check out the latest technology at the trade show.

"My girlfriend, in my office, she's a massage chair. She doesn't talk much, she just works," he said. "And I'm interested to go see what the new version of that does."

50 Cent shows the world he's coining it in

Posted in : News

(added 15 days ago)

With bundles of cash tucked under his cap, balanced on his shoulder and arms, it's clear this rapper has much more than 50 cents. Hip-hop artist and entrepreneur 50 Cent posted pictures of himself and boxer Floyd Mayweather on his Twitter page, posing with wads of cash in his Las Vegas hotel room, declaring: "We made it mom top of the world!!!!" 50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis James Jackson III, was in Las Vegas for the Consumer Electronics Show to promote his brand of headphones.

50 Cent shows the world he's coining it in

And it seems he had more than a little time on his hands despite being in the party capital, posing for and posting a string of similar photos. According to last year's Forbes list of the five richest hip-hop artists 50 Cent came in equal fifth, said to be worth $US100 million, behind Sean Combs, or "Diddy", Jay-Z and Dr Dre. 50 Cent was believed to have made millions of dollars from his stake in Vitaminwater in 2007.

He had agreed to add his name to the grape-flavoured drink and got a 10 per cent stake in the parent company Glaceau, Time Magazine reported. The In Da Club singer's pay day came when Coca-Cola bought the company in 2007. His business ventures have also included fashion, books and ringtones.

50 Cent's cheap shot at Beyonce's baby Blue

Posted in : News

(added 16 days ago)

But you wouldn't blame The Jigga Man for biting back at this one. Fiddy reignited their feud by posting fake snaps of Jay-Z and Beyonce's newborn daughter Blue Ivy Carter. The rapper used sick pictures of a bairn with Jay-Z's face digitally superimposed on it on his Twitter page, and put the message: "Blue Ivy Carter is GORGEOUS".

50 Cent's cheap shot at Beyonce's baby Blue

He posted them on Monday — just 48 hours after Beyonce gave birth to Blue Ivy in New York. Fiddy, pictured with Jay-Z before the feud, also wrote: "You bull******** — they will pay a million dollars for a picture of that baby lol trust me."

The last time Fiddy took a swipe was in 2010, when he vowed to steal Beyonce from Jay-Z and have kids with her. Before that he said the rapper was "only famous for marrying Beyonce", adding: "Outside the States and hip-hop circles no one really knew who he was until that."

But that's all schoolboy stuff until this one. His latest bullet has sparked huge controversy because mocking another rapper's child is seen as a cardinal sin in the hip-hop world. Rap forums are being flooded with abuse against Fiddy for breaking the "rules".

He's always getting in trouble for rants and mud-slinging. One of his most controversial moves was to offend almost every rapper and hip-hop producer in the US with his 1999 single How To Rob, in which he threatens to mug them. So now everyone's waiting to see whether Jay-Z gets his revenge.

50 Cent Apologizes To Interscope Records

Posted in : News

(added 18 days ago)

50 Cent Apologizes To Interscope Records50 Cent recently stated that he would not be promoting his new music, but in a Twitter rant today, he explained why he won’t be supporting future recordings and that he has no faith left in his label, Interscope Records.

“I have lost all faith in the team I’m on. I have nothing left to say I will not be promoting my music,” he wrote. ‘I’m going to deliver this album then. I have a film I wrote to focus on I’m not upset I’m just convinced this is not how I want to remembered.”

He continued by stating a troubling message that he doesn’t think he will live much longer. “Ill be honest I don’t think I’m gonna live much longer. That’s why I started my street king movement. I want to mean more in other peoples lives.”

Fif ended his tirade with an explanation as to why he mixed The Big 10 mixtape and how it was meant to inspire other artists. “I mixed the big 10 because everything I do has to be the best I can make it cause other artist will create after hearing the ideas.”

UPDATE: 50 Cent took to Twitter to apologize to Interscope Records for ranting about them leaking his songs and delaying his projects. "Discovered a computer glitch leaked my song. Sorry to team at interscope for over reacting!" he wrote. "I put a lot in to this project but I don't care if it ever comes out. Jimmy iovine has been like a mentor for me. I just want to stay friends."
