50 Cent's OK, You're Right Music Video Debuts Online [Video]50 Cent's second music video from his War Angel mixtape, "OK, You're Right," debuted online tonight (July 1) and showed the G-Unit leader's aim to create a single shot shoot-out concept. While the video features Fif, the rapper's images and conception follow that of a recent digital campaign which showed a shoot-out between robbers and police.Debuting officially via This Is 50 with the promotion of "7/01 and 7:01 PM" to give fans advanced notice of its premiere, the rapper's latest mixtape viral music video shows 50 without his G-Unit team side-by-side with him. Taking fans into a long, well-drawn out path of a frozen shot with robbers dressed as clowns and police attempting to stop the perceived incident, Fif is later seen in various shots of the clip switching from an on-stage performance with fans abruptly jumping and him in the robbery uniform and mask. The credits are given to Dan The Man and Chris "Broadway" Romero. While not featured in the video, quick shots of both Lloyd Banks and Tony Yayo are displayed throughout.Created entirely by Stink Digital, this new interactive campaign promotes Philips latest entrant into the television market, the CINEMA 21:9. Since the televisions 21:9 frame lends itself so readily to film, our friends at Tribal DDB, Amsterdam commissioned us to create a piece of filmed content that could hold its own with Hollywood?s best. Director Adam Berg responded with an idea for an epic frozen moment cops and robbers shootout sequence that included clowns, explosions, a decimated hospital, and plenty of broken glass and bullet casings.

50 Cent Says He's Still Number One

July 1, 2009 |10:14 | News  By : Team X

50 Cent Says He's Still Number OneAlthough his last album "Curtis" had a significant decline in sales compared to his past efforts, 50 Cent says he's still number one in the game. [watch here] 50 talked about the current scene in hip hop, how he compares his sales to Lil Wayne and even talked about Jay-Z's staying power.

Admitting Eminem is above him, 50 talks bout Lil Wayne's sales "What does that mean that you sold that." [watch here] "So you gonna forget that I sold 10 million albums twice -12 million first album, 10 million next one. So what does that one million mean? [watch here] 50 says people get caught in the moment. "What you’re talking about is who is a buzz," he explained. "A buzz is a song. So the next song that I release can turn me back into what you feel like is the hottest thing out here. So I mean if I’m showing you full capability of it than what makes you doubt that."  [watch here]

Fif went on to give props to Jay-Z for staying relevant. "There’s a respect that is well deserved on Jay-Z’s part because he’s had that cloud come over him and constantly worked his way through it, having so many projects come out and be successful and maintain meaning," he said. [watch here] "There’s a significance in it. Because they go, after countless amounts of hit records, they go ‘You think you can go out and do it again’. Ask me if I think he can do it again, ‘hell yeah,’ cause he did it how many times in front of us. What makes you think he can’t do it again"

50 Cent speaks on Detox

June 29, 2009 |11:33 | News  By : Team X

50 Cent speaks on Detox50 Cent recently weighed in on Dr. Dre’s long-awaited Detox release and offered his take on the album’s ten-year delay.

“Dre is actually working. I heard eight records. When it takes this long, I’ma tell you what I heard. I heard eight and Em said it’s ten. So it’s probably two I didn’t get a chance to hear. I think [the wait] actually builds more pressure. Are you trying to get it or are you trying to scare the sh*t out of ‘em ? I know, its been taking him a long time. [He’s also] so critical of himself at the same time. You know what it is too, I look at it like this.

I love some of the things he thinks that are just ‘good’… I kinda feel like I can gauge what is necessary at this point…When’s the last time you heard a hip-hop record that didn’t have an R&B chorus in the Top 10 ? You understand what I’m saying. It’s changing hip-hop music to the point where it’s necessary for you to have an R&B artist or perform like an R&B artist on the hook…You can tell the deejay to slow down but when motherf*cking [Black Eyed Peas’ ] ‘Boom Boom Pow’ is No. 1, how you gonna tell the artist what to make ?” (The B-Side).

A couple of dance moves and sh--, might be some sh-- called 'Billie Jean Is My Lover.' I'm back, n---a!"The second song is called "Where You Are," and it takes directly from Jackson's historic catalog. The G-Unit General raps over the 1972 track "I Wanna Be Where You Are."

50 Cent Thinks Drake's Buzz Might Be Label-Generated

June 26, 2009 |08:51 | News  By : Team X

50-Cent-Thinks-Drake's-BuzzIn hip-hop, the name on everybody’s lips is “Degrassi” star and Kanye West protégé Drake. The Canadian rapper currently appears on two songs (“Best I Ever Had” and “Every Girl”) in the Billboard Top 10, and he is currently being courted by a number of labels (though he has yet to sign).

A lot of people have said they haven’t seen this sort of buzz since 50 Cent first came up, but 50 himself disagrees.

“I don’t think you can accomplish that right now without finances,” 50 told XXL. “It was impossible for my music to be on the radio when I was coming up. When you hear a song on the radio, it’s being worked.

That song is being worked like he’s on the label. They’ve got the public feeling like it’s just happening.”

50, whose new album Before I Self-Destruct is coming out in September, thinks that Drake may be receiving funds from a label as a way to get him to sign with them.

I don't think I'll ever achieve enough. I'll always be after something or I'll find a new interest or a new passion to establish something else." [watch here] 50 spoke on talking at the end of records. "That’s when I don’t have to be in song format," 50 says. [watch here] "I can say exactly what I mean, and people are entertained by that too. That’s also a sign that you’re a star." [watch here]

50 Cent says he wants to bring hardcore hip hop back and a new full G-Unit mixtape is coming out in August. "Sincerely Southside Part 2" is just one of 50's many "writing assignments" he's given himself so that he doesn't overwork his upcoming "Before I Self Destruct" album. "I can write at that pace and achieve what I want," 50 continued. [watch here] "You won’t say there’s a lack of quality in [War Angel]. That’s why I called it an LP instead of a mixtape.
